U.S. Embassy Manila - Hosts 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The U.S. Embassy Manila  will host its 3rd Annual U.S. Independence Day Charity Golf Tournament at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club in Laguna on July 4, 2014.

The tournament, organized by the U.S. Embassy, was started in order to raise funds for charity as well as to celebrate U.S. Independence Day and Philippine-American Day Friendship Day, both of which take place on 4th of July.

U.S. Ambassador Harry K. Thomas, Jr., Japanese Ambassador Toschinao Urabe, U.S. Ambassador to the Asian Development Bank Robert Orr, and Philippine National Police General Lina Sarmiento braved rainy weather to host the tournament.

This year's event, supported by leading Philippine companies and individuals, raised more than P1.2 million for deserving local charities.
