Shane “Sugar” Mosley, a former world champion in multiple divisions who once faced Manny Pacquiao, visited the Philippines, last January - to help raise funds for victims of typhoon Yolanda. The support for the victim continues and several organizations initiated fundraisers benefitting Philippine and international foundations that are helping the typhoon victims.

Mosley arrived together with his lawyer Sydney Hall and manager Germaine Gillies and stayed at a hotel in Makati City. Mosley posted online about the warm reception he received upon arriving in Manila. Mosley’s Manila trip is aimed at raising funds for the typhoon victims through the United Boxing Relief Funds.

Mosley is coming back to Manila on May 24, 2014 to host a fund-raising event where legends like Mike Tyson and Roberto Duran, and active fighters like Robert Guerrero, Zab Judah and Amir Khan are invited.
